A quick note about size. The larger the square - the more that can be read at a glance. We can print quite a lot in an area - that doesn't make it easy to read. We recommend you hand sketch a sample of the text you want in the size you think will work. Then put it against a surface and stand back 10 feet, or 20 feet to see how readable it will be. This is most important when on vehicles.  Generally anything smaller than 1/2 high will need to be viewed fairly closely to be read.

4" or 5" square are standard sizes - Its common to print on clear background so that the image floats. Another idea is to print on white so your image stands out.
