About Us
Homeland Fundraising operates
from a CT base. Founded in 2004 - We utilize
manufacturing plants in Plants in: Ohio, New
Jersey, Georgia, Texas, California, Florida,
Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas,
Minnesota, California & Washington State -
We are ASI, SAGE and PPAI - and are rated by
the BBB.
First and foremost -
we are parents with
active children who have been - scouts, attended the YMCA, been band members,
chorus, theater groups, church groups and played sports in town
leagues and at high school and now college level. There is one common thread between all of these
activities. There is not enough funding for these extraordinarily important
methods of building a good foundation for the kids.
Homeland Fundraising started quite by accident.
My church group had a fundraising project so I researched selling
things. Thinking about years of watching charities sell: wrap, candy,
candles, discount cards, and overpriced food and sought out a product that was
fairly priced and unique. I bought a few
cases of first aid kits, set up a stand for
after church with my kids. We sold out. The
comments we got from fellow members were
"thanks for selling something we can use"
and "There should be more of products like
these" - so we thought about that. It's now a growing business and 11,000 + visitors to the site each month tell
us there needs
to be an alternative. We operate the business with the family from a
home office and carefully choose my suppliers so that we am sure of the quality
of everything we sell.
Why Homeland as a name? The company started shortly after 9/11 - when the
country came together in a way we haven't witnessed in a long time. Since then a
lot of focus is on security and safety. Keeping our Homeland safe is a very
important mission. So is making sure we also help our own communities. Hopefully
through the efforts of folks like yourself who work with and support kids
activities, we can keep our communities programs strong and in turn our nation
stays strong long term through our children's growth.
I am in the local rotary, have served on the board of directors of KidsafeCT - (an
organization dedicated to ending the cycle of child abuse), and I stay involved
with the kids. The business allows my family to help other organizations
like ones we depend on here in Ellington- across the country. We sell from coast
to coast. Schools, scouts, sports teams and church groups all use our products.
We are grateful for the opportunity to help where we can.
